MEET DR. McGLONE
Dr. William McGlone III, DPM, AACFAS, is a fellowship-trained and board-qualified foot and ankle surgeon at Commonwealth Foot and Ankle Center in Louisville, KY. He specializes in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery and treats a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. McGlone earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio, where he also played collegiate soccer. He continued his education at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, followed by a three-year surgical residency at the University of Louisville Hospital. After completing his residency, Dr. McGlone further advanced his training with a one-year fellowship at the Indy Foot & Ankle Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship in Indianapolis, where he worked alongside eight board-certified surgeons.
Dr. McGlone is licensed in both Kentucky and Indiana and is affiliated with multiple hospitals and surgical centers, including U of L Jewish Hospital, U of L East, and River Ridge Surgical Suites in Indiana. He offers comprehensive care for foot and ankle trauma, wound care, diabetic foot care, and lower extremity conditions.
Outside of his practice, Dr. McGlone enjoys playing tennis, hunting, and participating in fantasy football. He welcomes patients to call and schedule an appointment for personalized care of their foot and ankle needs
